Hey everyone. I’m Kenji!
I’m so stoked the blog is up and rollin! This is my first post so I better give you an idea of who I am, and what I’m about.
My name is Kenji. I’m a regular girl born and raised right here in Saskatchewan. A while back I got myself a gig working at Saskatchewan in motion, and now I have the opportunity to connect with young people like myself!
I’ve always been an outgoing, active person, but in the last few years working here I’ve learned how truly important being physically active is. I have been lucky enough to grow up with a family that enjoys being outdoors, encourages participation in team and individual sports and has consistently been involved in recreation on a professional and personal level. Even all that doesn’t guarantee I always get out there and move around enough to see the benefits of an active lifestyle.
Like I said, I’m a regular gal. I have lazy days, eat junk food and have a busy schedule with school, work, family and friends the same way most of us do. It is because of all those things that I am pumped about what this blog can be for all of us. Here we can toss around ideas and questions with people that relate to us all and are faced with similar circumstances and obstacles. Feel free to ask questions (preferably in some way related to physical activity) and I’ll do my best to get a solid answer.
You may be thinking “if you’re such a regular girl, why should I trust your information?” …totally fair question. The answer is, I work with some truly knowledgeable, dedicated and experienced people, and together we’ll make sure your questions get a real answer.
Enough about me. I’d love to hear from you. Where does physical activity fit in your busy life?

Excellent! Nice work Kenji – I know it was a struggle sometimes to get this all up (hello?) but it was worth it. A shout out to Kim too!!
Excited to hear more from you, Kenji. And congrats on getting this thing up and running, finally!
Thanks for the shout outs guys! Much appreciated! Things are looking good. I’m working on my next blog right now about the Saskatchewan supplemt to the nation Active Healthy Kids Canada Report card. I had to take a break though, my brain stalled out on me haha. Keep on movin! -Kenji:)
Congrats on the start of your new blog, can’t wait to hear all your ideas to help youth become more motivated to be active!
